Diamond Meluzzi-Davila

Operations Manager

Diamond began working as an unpaid intern at Gould Injury Law in 2014 while studying at Branford Hall. She joined the Gould Injury Law team in 2015 as an office assistant and has held many other positions with the company over the years, including Front Office Manager, Pre -Litigation Case Manager, Workers Compensation Case Manager, and Pre-Litigation Supervisor. Her favorite part of the job is training new staff while helping them learn and become more confident in their positions with the firm. When she is not working, which isn’t often, she enjoys kickboxing class, traveling, and spending time with her two cats. She recently received her Associates in Liberal Arts and is now working toward her Bachelors in Business Administration.

Yaffa Mazzacane

Litigation Supervisor

With over 8 years of experience, Yaffa has really thrived as the firms Litigation Supervisor. She works closely with the attorneys and other staff members to ensure cases in litigation proceed quickly and properly. Her favorite part of her job is that moment a settlement is reached and the client finally feels the justice they have sought. In her free time, Yaffa enjoys being a mom to her two cats and traveling. She also loves to work as hard at the gym as she does in the office.

Kiana Caraballo

Front Office Manager

Kiana Caraballo is our superstar Front Office Manager who keeps everything running smoothly. As a team player, Kiana “love(s) my Gould team! We are always there for each other and look out for one another on whatever it may be.” When she’s not at work, she loves to spend time with her son who keeps her strong and motivated. Kiana is an aspiring makeup artists and enjoys dressing up and looking beautiful.

Ashley Ahearn

Closing Specialist

Ashley is the Gould Injury Law in 2020 Closing Specialist who handles cases from the moment they are settled until the moment clients get their checks. She makes sure everyone gets paid fast. Ashley completed her paralegal studies course at Boston University in 2013 and has amassed a wealth of experience since then. She loves working with all of the members of the Gould Injury Law team helping to collect the money on settled cases and negotiate liens for the clients. In her time out of the office, Ashley loves hiking with her dog, reading, and going to concerts.

Joe Roy

Pre-Litigation Case Manager

As a native of New Haven, and life-long resident in the area, Joe knows just how to best help the people of Connecticut. As a graduate of the University of New Haven, Joe is intelligent, thoughtful, and meticulous about his approach to his cases. During his years at Gould Injury Law, Joe has “ come to appreciate the personable approach everyone here takes with our clients. This is a people first business, and that can often be lost in other places. Not here.”
In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, listening to live music, and traveling.

Elaine Martinez

Worker’s Compensation Case Manager

Elaine is a compassionate and committed individual with an Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies from Bryan. With 9 years of paralegal experience, Elaine is very well-equipped to handle all the various wrinkles that can arise in the Worker’s Compensation arena. Even as a mother of four beautiful children, she is currently in school working toward her Bachelor Degree. Elaine loves working for Gould Injury Law “because we are a firm that strives for greatness, and we are right there with you making sure that you are taken care of every step of the way.”

Carey Brimmer

Pre-Litigation Case Manager

Carey is a detail-oriented, WWF wrestling buff who was previously named the Gould Injury Law Employee of Year. As a lifelong resident of Connecticut, he has a tremendous amount of experience is various positions throughout the state. After studying Communications at Central Connecticut State University, Carey spent time hosting a local radio show before becoming a paralegal in 2012. Now living in Stamford with his wife and son, Carey often works remotely from his home office. Carey loves working for Gould Injury Law because he “enjoys working with a diverse group of people who all work hard together to get the best results possible.”
